Concentration
How much perfume oil is in the bottle — and what that means on skin.
“Concentration” is the share of perfume oil in the blend, the rest being alcohol and a little water. A higher concentration is not simply “stronger” — it changes how a fragrance unfolds, how long it lasts, and how far it carries.
- Eau de Toilette (EDT) · 5–15% fragrance oil
- Bright and immediate, closer to the skin after a few hours. 3–5 hours of wear.
- Eau de Parfum (EDP) · 15–20%
- The everyday luxury strength — full through most of a day, with a soft trail. 5–8 hours.
- Extrait de Parfum · 20–30%+
- Dense and long. Applied lightly, it stays with you from morning into the evening. 8–12 hours, worn near the skin rather than broadcast.

Making it last
- Apply to moisturised skin — dry skin holds scent poorly.
- Pulse points: base of the neck, inner wrists, inner elbows. Don’t rub — it fractures the top notes.
- A little on clothing or a scarf extends the trail without overwhelming.
