About Maun Aroma

Maun means silence. Maun Aroma is built on the idea that presence does not have to announce itself — that a fragrance can be felt before it is noticed, and remembered long after you have left the room.
We compose in India, with materials sourced for character rather than volume: oud distilled in small lots, rose and jasmine from growers we return to each season, resins and woods aged before they are blended. Every composition is made to wear close to the skin and last through a day.
Three lines
- Signature
- Our flagship. Oud- and wood-forward compositions, released in small batches. Sold online only, never discounted, and not available for cash on delivery — the line is priced and handled as the atelier work it is.
- Aks
- A reflection — the same person, two times of day. Aks White is daytime: citrus, light woods, clean skin. Aks Black is evening: amber, spice, warmth that opens as the night goes on.
- Bandhan
- A bespoke wedding fragrance, composed with one couple over a few consultations and made only for them. Enquiry only — start a commission.
How we make it
Compositions are developed by our perfumer over months of trials, macerated for weeks after blending, and bottled in short runs. What is in stock is what has been made. When a batch sells out, the next one takes the time it takes.
